Why pray, what good does that do? This comes from a devil. This is a doctrine designed to sow the spirit of unbelief into Christians.
It not only makes Christians loose their faith, it makes the unbelief in none believers edified.
Unbelief is evil. Unbelief acts more like an excuse then it does reason.
This evil device makes a christian not pray. It's God's commandment to pray.
Back on the topic of praying. For the heathen, the none believer, he is in condemnation. The none believer is at war with God. God is angry with the unbeliever to the point of throwing him into hell for eternity. God will not hear the none believers prayer. God will do nothing for the unbeliever.
God does love the unbeliever, in that he will turn and save him if he repents. The unbeliever needs someone to intercede for him. He needs someone who is a believer to pray for him. This is the way God has chosen to save them. For the believer to pray for them.
Jesus only saves the one who God has given to him. Jesus will do nothing for that person if God has not given him into he's hands. It's true that all things are in the hands of Jesus, but for the evil and wicked, they are in the hands of the devil. This is because the devil takes them. Not because God gave them to the devil, but because the devil was able to take them.
The Christians are to intercede for the heathens. They are to pray for them. As seen in the holy bible, in the book of job 42:8.
"Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job."
